A perfect example of a functional, flexible and modular approach. The design identifies five poles of activity of around 100 beds each. The technical medical platform is closely linked to each of the five poles thanks to a three-dimentional circulation system. Two axes of movement span the hospital complex from one end to the other. This ‘spinal column’ is capable of expansion without constraint to the west and south of the site, where future extensions are being considered.
